What can I do on my own to be most healthy?
Eat a whole foods diet that is high in vegetables, fruits, legumes, and whole grains. Reduce total fat, animal fats, and simple carbohydrates.
Try to get 30 minutes or more (don’t over-do it for those who think more is better, schedule an appointment with Dr. Vingelen to check in about your exercise routine) of exercise daily, include weight-bearing exercises at least three times a week.
Take at least 30 minutes a day doing something that recharges you. For example, read, take a yoga class, paint, take a bath, meditate, lunch with a friend, breathe, work in the garden, or create music. Doing this will relieve you of stress.
